Will my insurance cover treatment from a Naturopathic doctor?
Yes, many of the treatments offered at our clinic are covered by insurance. As with any medical treatment, the amount of coverage you receive depends on your insurance plan.
At Urban Wellness Group we understand the frustrations of dealing with medical insurance, and our goal is to help alleviate that. We would be happy to help you understand and navigate the insurance process so you can get the care you need.
What kind of training do Naturopathic doctors receive?
Licensed Naturopathic doctors must attend a 4-year graduate-level Naturopathic medical school where they are educated in all of the same basic sciences as a traditional medical doctor. In addition, Naturopathic doctors must also study holistic and nontoxic approaches to treatment, with an emphasis on wellness and disease prevention.
A Naturopathic doctor must study the full standard medical curriculum plus additional subjects, including clinical nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, psychology, and counseling. A naturopathic physician also has to take rigorous professional board exams to become licensed as a primary care physician.
All of the doctors at Urban Wellness Group are fully licensed as primary care physicians.
